WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Qi (pronounced ‘chee’) means energy
Gong means training, work, mastery
Qigong means energy work or energy training
The art of Qigong consists primarily of meditation, relaxation, physical movement, mind-body integration and breathing exercise
There are many different types of Qigong – martial arts, sports, medical, healing, thai chi, spiritual and meditation. They all work with the Qi, helping cultivate the energy and life force in our body.
A typical Qigong class includes calming the mind, preparing the body, movement (slow, smooth and gentle) and meditation.
The best time to commence Qigong is after treatment and surgery
Some of the many benefits of Qigong include rebuilding the immune system slowly, balancing the mind, relieving stress, improving and increasing movement.
